Directions

I arrived at Guatemala City airport at ~2pm. There is a shuttle that leaves every hour to Antigua – the desk is inside the airport after passport control. It cost $10 (US) and took 1 hour. It was very safe and easy, and the staff spoke perfect English.

The shuttle from Antigua to San Pedro took 4-5 hours, and cost 80 Quetzales.

First shuttle leaves from Antigua – 2:00 PM
Second shuttle leaves from Antigua – 4:00 PM
Third shuttle leaves from Antigua – 4:20 PM


 Directions To Orbita by Shuttle and Boat (4 hours total) - from Airport

Take a shuttle from the airport booth to Antigua (30 min). Take a second shuttle from Antigua to Panajachel (3 hrs). Walk down to dock, take Lancha (boat) to San Pedro La Laguna (30 min). Exit boat, walk up street and take your First right. Walk 2 minutes and look for yellow Orbita Spanish School sign on left.

 Directions to Orbita by Shuttle only (4 hours total) - from Airport

Take a shuttle from the airport booth to Antigua (30 min). Take a second shuttle from Antigua to San Pedro La Laguna (3 hrs, 30 min). You will be dropped off on the same street we are located on. Turn around, head back toward the “dock” intersection and continue going straight. Look for yellow Orbita Spanish School sign on left (2 min).

 Directions to Orbita by Chicken Bus (4 hours total) - from Airport

Take a taxi from the airport and say that you are looking for the bus station which has buses that go to San Pedro La Laguna, Solola. The bus station address is: Pamplona 41 Calle De La Zona 8. The first bus leaves at 11 a.m and the last bus leaves at 5 pm.

Normally there is a chicken bus leaving every half-hour and the ride takes approximately four hours and will drop you off in front of the Catholic Church in San Pedro La Laguna.

Facing the church, go left and make a left at your first intersection. Follow that road downhill, follow as it curves to the right and then back downhill. At the bottom, there is an intersection by the pier. Turn left, walk 2 minutes and  look for yellow Orbita Spanish School sign on left.
